BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Gall was an Irish monk and missionary, a disciple of Saint Columbanus of Luxeuil. After arriving in Central Europe, he settled in what is now Switzerland, where he lived as a hermit and performed numerous miracles. He was known for his healing abilities and his deep connection to nature and animals. His hermitage became the foundation of the Abbey of Saint Gall. He declined the position of bishop and lived a life of humility and solitude.

St. Gall is the patron saint of the city of St. Gallen, Switzerland, goose keepers, and those suffering from throat ailments.
