BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Carlo Acutis, born in London and raised in Milan, showed a deep love for the Eucharist from an early age and an extraordinary talent for computers. Already as a teenager, Carlo created a website in which he documented Eucharistic miracles from around the world and used the Internet to live and share his faith. He is often referred to as the "Millennial Saint," "God's Influencer," or "Cyber-Apostle." Despite his young age, he lived a life marked by charity, prayer, and devotion to God. He attended Mass daily and was known for his kindness toward the needy and his classmates. At only 15 years old, he fell ill with leukemia, which he accepted with deep faith. For this reason, he offered his suffering for the Church and passed away in 2006 in Monza. Saint Carlo Acutis was canonized in 2025 and is considered a role model for young people and all those who wish to live their faith in the digital age.
On October 10, 2020, Blessed Carlo Acutis was beatified in Assisi - a place he greatly admired during his lifetime. For his canonization, a second recognized miracle was required. In May 2024, the Vatican announced that a possible second miracle attributed to the intercession of the then-blessed Carlo was being examined by a specially appointed commission. This miracle was recognized, and thus, on September 7, 2025, he was canonized in a Mass at St. Peter's Square in Vatican City by Pope Leo XIV.
