Saint Bernardine of Siena was born in 1380 in Massa Marittima, Italy, and joined the Franciscan Order at a young age. He became a remarkable preacher, traveling throughout Italy to spread the Gospel. He was especially known for his devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus and his passionate sermons, which attracted large crowds. He advocated for social reforms and the renewal of Christian life. His influence was crucial in reforming the Franciscan Order, and he was later appointed Vicar General. Saint Bernardine died in 1444 in Aquila and was canonized just six years later.
