BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Guido of Anderlecht was born around 950 in Belgium. Raised in humble circumstances, he chose a life of simplicity and poverty. He initially worked as a sacristan in a church in Laeken, serving God with dedication. Later, he attempted a career as a merchant but lost all his money, seeing this as a divine sign to fully devote himself to faith. He embarked on a pilgrimage to Rome and Jerusalem, spending the rest of his life as a devoted pilgrim. Upon returning, he settled in Anderlecht, where he died in 1012. Soon after his death, reports of miraculous healings at his grave began to spread.
