BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Daniel was a Jewish prophet whose story is told in the Old Testament, in the Book of Daniel. As a young man, he was taken to Babylon during the Babylonian captivity and served at the court of King Nebuchadnezzar. Due to his wisdom and ability to interpret dreams, he gained great recognition. Despite political intrigues against him, he remained faithful to God, even when he was thrown into the lions' den, from which he was miraculously saved. His prophetic visions have influenced Christian theology as well.
