BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Willibald was an Anglo-Saxon monk and missionary born in England. He undertook a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and was one of the few early Western pilgrims to document his journey. Later, at the request of his uncle, St. Boniface, he traveled to Germany to support the Christian mission. He became the first bishop of Eichstätt and founded the monastery there, which became a key center of Christian teaching. His work greatly contributed to the spread of Christianity in Bavaria.
