BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Cyriacus was a deacon in Rome and one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. He was known for his great charity and especially helped persecuted Christians. According to legend, he healed Emperor Diocletian's possessed daughter, gaining his favor. However, under Emperor Maximian, he was persecuted, tortured, and eventually beheaded. His relics were preserved in the Roman church of San Lorenzo fuori le Mura.
