When did Saint Mark live: 1st century AD

BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Mark, also known as John Mark, was a Jewish Christian and the author of the second Gospel. He was the son of a woman named Mary, in whose house the first Christian community in Jerusalem gathered. Mark accompanied the Apostle Paul and his cousin Barnabas on missionary journeys but later separated from Paul. He then became a close associate of the Apostle Peter, who referred to him as his "son." According to tradition, St. Mark founded the Church of Alexandria and became its first bishop. He suffered martyrdom around the year 68 AD. His relics were transferred to Venice in the 9th century, where they now rest in St. Mark's Basilica.
