BIOGRAPHY:
Saint John, also known as John the Evangelist, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and the author of the Gospel of John, the Johannine letters, and the Book of Revelation. He was the son of Zebedee and the brother of Saint James the Greater. Saint John is described as the "disciple whom Jesus loved" and was present at key events such as the Transfiguration and the Crucifixion. After the resurrection of Jesus, he preached the Gospel and later settled in Ephesus, where he is believed to have written the Gospel and guided many Christian communities. Saint John is the only apostle traditionally believed to have died a natural death.
