BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Louis de Montfort was born on January 31, 1673, in Montfort-sur-Meu, France. From an early age, he felt a strong calling to the priesthood and missionary work. He became a passionate preacher, deeply moving people with his inspiring sermons. His greatest mission was to spread devotion to the Virgin Mary, which he saw as essential to the Christian faith. Pope Clement XI appointed him as a missionary apostolic, leading him to conduct numerous missions and establish schools and confraternities. His writings on Marian devotion, including "The Secret of the Rosary" and "True Devotion to Mary," became fundamental Catholic texts and influenced many believers and popes. He dedicated his life entirely to serving God and passed away on April 28, 1716, in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre.
