BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Adalbert of Magdeburg was a Benedictine monk and missionary, known as the first Archbishop of Magdeburg. Born around 910 in Lorraine, he joined the Benedictine monastery in Trier, where he received his education. Later, he traveled as a missionary to Russia, supporting the Christian community in Kiev. In 968, he was appointed Archbishop of Magdeburg to promote the Christianization of the Slavic people. He was renowned for his scholarship, diplomatic skills, and deep faith. Adalbert passed away in 981.
