BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Dominic was born in 1170 in Caleruega, Spain. He was a priest and the founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) in 1216. He worked tirelessly to combat heresies through preaching and education. Known for his discipline, devotion to prayer, and missionary zeal, he also promoted the practice of the Rosary. His travels took him through Spain, France, and Italy. He died in Bologna in 1221 and was canonized in 1234.
