BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Tobias is one of the main figures in the biblical Book of Tobit, which belongs to the Old Testament wisdom literature. He was the son of the devout Jew Tobit, who was exiled with his family to Nineveh. Tobias embarked on a perilous journey to collect a debt owed to his father and was accompanied by the Archangel Raphael, who protected and guided him. During this journey, he met his future wife, Sarah, who was tormented by a demon. With God's help and Raphael's instructions, Tobias was able to free her and live happily with her. Upon his return, he healed his father's blindness with the gall of a fish, becoming a symbol of trust in divine guidance and mercy.
