BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Anthony Mary Zaccaria was born in 1502 in Cremona, Italy. After the early death of his father, he was raised by his devout mother, who instilled in him strong Christian values. He studied medicine in Padua but decided to devote his life to the Church and became a priest. He founded the Barnabites and the Angelic Sisters of St. Paul, both dedicated to spiritual renewal and preaching. He promoted Christian revival and introduced the Forty Hours' Devotion. Despite his short life, he left a lasting spiritual legacy. He died in 1539 at the age of just 36.
