BIOGRAPHY:
St. Eucharius was the first bishop of Trier and one of the earliest missionaries in Gaul. According to tradition, he was sent by St. Peter himself to preach the Gospel. In Trier, he established the first Christian community and consecrated the city's first church. His mission was accompanied by numerous miracles and healings, leading many people to Christianity. After his death, he was buried in the Eucharistic Basilica in Trier, where his tomb is still venerated today.
