BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Christopher, according to legend, was a giant named Reprobus searching for the most powerful ruler to serve. After realizing the limitations of earthly rulers, he devoted his life to God. He helped travelers cross a dangerous river by carrying them on his shoulders. One day, he carried a child who grew heavier and revealed himself as Christ. From then on, Christopher became the patron of travelers. He was later martyred under Emperor Decius.
