BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Albert the Great, a German Dominican monk, theologian, and philosopher, is regarded as one of the greatest scholars of the Middle Ages. Born around 1200 in Lauingen, he joined the Dominican Order and studied in Padua and Paris. He became a renowned teacher, significantly influencing his student Saint Thomas Aquinas. Appointed as Bishop of Regensburg, he soon resigned to focus on research and teaching. With expertise in natural sciences, philosophy, and theology, he wrote extensively. In 1931, Pope Pius XI declared him a Doctor of the Church.
