BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Bernhard Graf von Baden, also known as St. Bernard, was born in 1428 as the son of the Margraves of Baden. From an early age, he displayed deep piety and a strong sense of responsibility. He was dedicated to peace and justice and was known for his charity towards those in need. During a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, he became seriously ill and died in 1458 in Moncalieri near Turin. His grave quickly became a pilgrimage site due to the many miracles attributed to him.

St. Bernhard is the patron saint of the Margraviate of Baden, the sick, and against the plague.
