BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Edward the Confessor was the King of England and is one of the last Anglo-Saxon rulers before the Norman Conquest. Born around 1003, he ruled from 1042 until his death in 1066. His reign was marked by peace and deep religious devotion. He was known for his justice and generosity, as well as for supporting the construction of Westminster Abbey, which was consecrated shortly before his death. He was canonized a few years after his passing due to his holiness and charitable works.
