BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Eusebius of Vercelli was a bishop and a significant defender of the Christian faith against Arianism in the 4th century. Born around 283, he became the first bishop of Vercelli. Eusebius was a staunch supporter of orthodoxy and church unity. He was a contemporary of St. Athanasius of Alexandria and participated in the Council of Nicaea. Due to his opposition to Arianism, he was exiled by Emperor Constantius II. After years in exile, he returned to Italy and devoted himself to strengthening the church. He passed away around 371.
