Saint Theodul was the Bishop of Sion and one of the first Christian missionaries in Valais (Switzerland). He played a key role in spreading Christianity and establishing church structures in the region. A famous legend tells that he received a bell from the devil, which later became a symbol of Valais. His work was marked by miracles, popular missions, and protecting people from pagan influences.
