BIOGRAPHY:
St. Galdinus of Milan was a cardinal and archbishop of Milan in the 12th century. Born around 1096, he devoted his life to the Church and the welfare of his community. During the reign of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, he strongly defended the Church's rights against imperial oppression. After being elected archbishop in 1166, he was forced into exile but returned in 1176 following the Lombard League's victory over Frederick Barbarossa. Despite his frail health, he continued his service to the Church until his death in 1176, which occurred while preaching.
