BIOGRAPHY:
St. Gordianus was a high-ranking Roman official during the Christian persecution under Emperor Julian the Apostate. Initially a pagan, he was deeply moved by the testimony and steadfastness of Christians in their faith, leading to his conversion. Refusing to condemn Christians, he was tortured and eventually executed around the year 362 AD. His body was buried in Rome in the crypt of St. Epimachus.
