Saint Rudolf of Gubbio was a bishop of Gubbio in the 11th century, known for his great piety, justice, and deep care for the faithful. In a time of political and ecclesiastical changes, he worked to reform the Church, fighting corruption and abuses. St. Rudolf was closely associated with Pope Gregory VII and supported his efforts for Church reform. He was a respected preacher, admired for his wisdom and generosity. After his death, he was buried in Gubbio's cathedral, and his tomb soon became a pilgrimage site.
