BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, is best known as "Doubting Thomas" because he initially doubted Christ's resurrection until he could touch His wounds. He is mentioned multiple times in the New Testament, especially in the Gospel of John. After Christ's ascension, St. Thomas is said to have traveled to India, where he established several Christian communities. According to tradition, he was martyred in Mylapore, present-day Chennai.
