Saint Urban was Pope from 222 to 230 AD and led the Church during a period of relative peace between Christian persecutions. He is credited with strengthening the Church's structure and promoting the sacraments. According to legend, St. Urban baptized many believers and contributed to the spread of Christianity. He is also said to have protected and blessed winegrowers, making him their patron saint. His martyrdom is associated with the persecution under Emperor Alexander Severus.
