BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Wolfhard was born in Augsburg in the 11th century and led a simple and devout life. He was a merchant but chose to leave his worldly life behind and travel as a pilgrim across Europe. He became well known for his acts of charity, generously helping the poor and needy. Eventually, he settled in Cremona, Italy, where he lived as a hermit. There, he dedicated his life to prayer and penance and was soon venerated as a saint. After his death, numerous miracles were reported at his tomb.
