BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Joseph, the spouse of the Virgin Mary, was a humble carpenter from Nazareth and the foster father of Jesus. The Gospels describe him as a just and faithful man who devotedly protected Mary and the Christ Child. When Herod threatened the newborn, St. Joseph fled with his family to Egypt and later returned to Nazareth. There, he raised Jesus and taught him his trade. St. Joseph is honored as a model of fatherly love, humility, and diligence.

St. Joseph is the patron saint of the Church, families, workers, carpenters, the dying, and many countries, including Austria, Canada, and Mexico.
