BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Donatus of Arezzo was a Christian bishop who lived in the 4th century. There are few historically verified details about his life, but he is regarded as one of the most significant saints of Tuscany. According to legend, he was raised in a Christian family and developed deep devotion from an early age. He became the Bishop of Arezzo and worked fervently to spread Christianity. One story tells that he miraculously neutralized a poisoned chalice through prayer, saving a fellow believer from certain death. He is also credited with destroying a pagan idol. During the Christian persecutions, Saint Donatus was eventually arrested and suffered martyrdom.
