BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Emidius was a Christian bishop and martyr of the 3rd century. He was born in Trier, converted to Christianity early on, and moved to Rome, where he became known for his missionary zeal. Due to his faith, he was persecuted and eventually appointed Bishop of Ascoli Piceno. There, he passionately preached and converted many to Christianity. Under Emperor Diocletian, he was eventually beheaded for refusing to sacrifice to the pagan gods.
