When did Saint Romuald live: 951 - 1027

BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Romuald was born in Ravenna around 951 into a noble family. After witnessing a murder within his family, he chose the monastic life and entered the monastery of Sant'Apollinare in Classe. Over time, he developed a rigorous ascetic discipline and founded the Camaldolese Order, combining hermit life with monastic tradition. Throughout his life, he established several monasteries and promoted a spirituality based on solitude and prayer. He died in 1027 and was later canonized.
