BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Philip Neri, also known as the "Apostle of Rome," was born in Florence in 1515. From a young age, he showed deep religious devotion and moved to Rome, where he dedicated his life to pastoral care. He was ordained a priest in 1551 and later founded the Congregation of the Oratory, a community devoted to spiritual renewal and pastoral service. His humor, warmth, and joy in faith made him a beloved priest. Saint Philip Neri was deeply committed to helping the poor and sick, and he had a unique gift for inspiring people through his piety and optimism. He passed away in 1595 and was canonized in 1622.
