BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Magdalen, born in Magdala (Israel), is portrayed in the Gospels as a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She witnessed his crucifixion and was the first person to whom the resurrected Jesus Christ appeared. She was given the title "Apostle to the Apostles" as she informed the disciples about the resurrection of Christ. After Jesus had freed her from seven demons, they developed a very close relationship, which is why she appears a total of 14 times in the canonical Gospels.
