BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Maria, born in Corinaldo (Italy), came from a poor farming family. After the death of her father, she had to take responsibility for her younger siblings. Unfortunately, she was harassed by a neighbor's son in 1902 and fatally wounded after being stabbed fourteen times. As she lay dying, she forgave her attacker and wished him goodbye in heaven.

St. Maria is the patron saint of youth, chastity and rape victims.
