BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Raphaela, born in Pedro Abad (Spain), took a vow of chastity at the age of 15. After the death of her parents, she and her sister founded a new religious community for the Christian education of poor girls. 16 years later, she resigned from her ministry and withdrew to live in silence and prayer. Despite her retreat, she witnessed the expansion of her congregation.
