BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Felicitas was an early Christian martyr and wealthy widow with seven sons. Pagan priests were outraged by her influence and her conversion work and demanded her execution. Felicitas and her sons remained steadfast and were all sentenced to death. According to legend, she had to witness the death of her children and prayed to be allowed to stay until the end. In this way, she wanted to strengthen and encourage each of them. She was granted this last wish.
