BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Susanne, born in Rome (Italy), has a very controversial life story. Emperor Diocletian is said to have wanted to marry her off to one of his relatives, but Susanne strongly opposed this. This angered the emperor, which is why she was beheaded. Her own house served as a place of execution and was later converted into the "Chiesa di Santa Susanna" church.
