BIOGRAPHY:
St. Vincent of Saragozza, known as well as Vincent from Flora or Vincent of Valencia was a deacon of the early Church who lived during the 3rd and 4th centuries AD in Spain. He served as the archdeacon of Bishop Valerius of Zaragoza and was known for his deep faith and eloquence. During the Christian persecutions under Emperor Diocletian, San Vincent was arrested and subjected to brutal tortures, yet he never renounced his faith. He eventually died from his sufferings in Valencia. His courage and martyrdom made him one of Spain's most renowned martyrs.

St. Vincent of Saragozza is the patron saint of winemakers, sailors, woodcutters, and brickmakers, as well as patron of the city of Valencia and patron of the city of Lissabon.
