BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Achatius was one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers and a Roman soldier who converted to Christianity. Born in Cappadocia, he served as a captain in the Roman army. Due to his Christian faith, he was persecuted and endured severe tortures. Despite his suffering, he remained steadfast in his faith and was eventually beheaded under Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century. St. Achatius is regarded as a model of perseverance in faith and is invoked in times of great distress.
