When did Saint Ambrose live: 4th century AD

BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Ambrose was born around 339 in Trier into a noble Roman family. He was educated in Rome and pursued a political career. In 374, despite not being baptized, he was unexpectedly elected Bishop of Milan. After his baptism and ordination, he devoted himself to theology and wrote numerous works that shaped Christianity. He was a significant Doctor of the Church and influenced Saint Augustine. His firm stance against Arianism and his close ties to emperors made him one of the most influential church figures of the 4th century. He passed away in Milan on April 4, 397.

St. Ambrose is the patron saint of beekeepers, bees, candle makers, gingerbread producers, students, and the city of Milan.
