BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Cletus was the third bishop of Rome and the successor of Saint Peter and Saint Linus. He is mentioned in historical sources as Pope Anacletus or simply Cletus. His papacy is dated between AD 76 and 88. It is believed that he died as a martyr, although there is no definitive historical proof. St. Cletus played a significant role in the early Church and promoted the development of Christian communities in Rome. According to tradition, he encouraged the construction of churches and places of worship. His tomb is located near that of St. Peter in the Vatican.
