BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Ingeborg was a Danish princess and Queen of France, as she entered a marriage with the French King Philip II in 1193. However, he repudiated her the day after the wedding due to a mysterious tremor in her presence. He first imprisoned her in Cysoing Abbey and later in a tower at Étampes Castle. Despite his efforts to have the marriage annulled, she steadfastly held on to her position as the rightful queen. It was not until 1213 that she was finally released thanks to the efforts of the Pope.
