BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Mary, born in Glogówiec (Poland), is also known as the "Apostle of Mercy". Despite parental opposition, she entered the convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in 1925. Her famous diary "The mercy of God in my soul" contained numerous records of visions and revelations. A central event was her vision of the image of mercy, which depicted Christ with beams of light radiating from his heart. This image is known worldwide today. At first, the Church was sceptical about her visions and subjected her to psychiatric examinations, until years later it officially recognized the veneration of the image of mercy. In 1938, Maria Faustyna succumbed to her illness of tuberculosis.
