Biography of St. Albert:
St. Albert the Great was one of the Church's greatest highbrows. He was born in 1206 into a noble family of Swabians. In 1233 St. Albert joined the Dominican Order and studied at the university of Padua. He held the most important chairs at that time and taught at Hildesheim, Ratisbon, Cologne and Paris. Also St. Thomas Aquinas was his student and both considered Aristotle's philosophy very important. In 1260 St. Albert was elected bishop of Ratisbon, but two years later he left his office, because he didn't see any positive changing. St. Albert was a great scientist who wrote about astronomy, physics, chemistry, physiology and geography. St. Albert, promoter of the peace in the world, died on the fifteenth of November 1280 in Cologne.
