BIOGRAPHY:
St. Aquilin, also known as Wenzelin, was born around 970 in Bavaria. He was a priest and canon who devoted his life to helping the poor and spreading the Gospel. His missionary work led him to Milan, where he became known for his strong opposition to heresies, particularly the Cathars. His courage and firm faith made him many enemies, and in 1015 he was assassinated in Milan by having a dagger thrust into his neck. He is buried in the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore in Milan, where he is still venerated today.
