BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Genesius of Rome was an actor and comedian who lived during the reign of the Roman emperor Diocletian. During a theatrical performance mocking Christianity, he experienced a sudden conversion. In the middle of the play, he stopped acting and publicly declared his wish to be baptized. This act put him at odds with Roman authorities, who arrested, tortured, and eventually beheaded him. Despite his suffering, Genesius remained steadfast in his newfound faith until the end.
