BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Hubert was born around the year 655 in Toulouse into a noble Frankish family. Initially, he lived at the court of King Theuderic III and was an avid hunter. During a hunt, he had a vision of a stag with a glowing cross between its antlers, an event that led to his conversion and religious life. He studied under Bishop Lambert of Maastricht and succeeded him as the Bishop of Liège after Lambert's death. Hubert was known for his missionary work in the Ardennes and his charitable deeds. He died on May 30, 727, and was later venerated as a saint.
