BIOGRAPHY:
Saint Claudia, also known as Princess Claudia, was an important figure for the early Christian society of Rome. She was the daughter of the British king Caractacus, who joined the resistance against the expansion of the Roman Empire. They were both arrested and taken to Rome, where Claudia converted to Christianity. Her marriage to Senator Pudens followed, which significantly changed her life. They had two daughters and their home together became the center of Rome's early Christian community. This is why Claudia was also mentioned in a letter from the Apostle Paul to Timothy, which further emphasizes her status.

Although St. Claudia has no patronage, she is a key figure in the development and spread of Rome's early Christian community and is therefore venerated.
