BIOGRAPHY:
St. Eulogius of Córdoba was a priest and martyr in Muslim-ruled Spain. Born around 800 in Córdoba, he lived during a time of Christian persecution under Islamic rule. As a learned theologian and writer, he defended the Christian faith through his works and encouraged believers to remain steadfast. During the persecutions in the Emirate of Córdoba, he assisted persecuted Christians and was imprisoned for his faith. Despite threats, he refused to renounce Christianity and was beheaded on March 11, 859.
